ANNUAL HEALTH CHECKS
Check your pet annually to ensure full health, weight checks and to diagnose possibly health issues at the earliest time.
MICROCHIPPING
It is the law now! Find you animal fast after it got lost
VACCINATIONS
Ensure your pet is fully protected. We will give tour pet a full health examination at the same time, advice on feeding, etc.
SURGERY
Our Vets are highly trained to preform any surgery in our operating theatre, fully equiped with the latest anaesthetic and surgical equipment.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Keep check on your pet's weight. Full advise to get the best nutrition for your pet.
EMERGENCY CARE
24 hour emergency care is available for all emergencies. Ring us anytime for advice.
DENTAL CARE
Prevention and treatment of oral disease in your dog and cat.
BOARDING
Cat boarding will start soon. Boarding for dogs is available in our affiliated kennel.

At our clinic we strive to give the best healthcare to your pets and the best experience for their owners when they have to come to visit us. We treat all kind animals, and while dogs and cats are the most regular patients, also camels, reptiles, snakes, ferrets, guinea pigs, gerbrils, fish and other species have visited ud in our clinic. We also service dairy and beef farms in the locality, providing ambulatory services and herd health management. Our practice has been fully accredited by the Veterinary Council of Ireland and up to date with all modern requirements as you can expect from a dedicated clinic.

Macroom Veterinary Clinic was esthablished in 2005 by the owner Dr. Bertil Douw. He has over 20 years of experience in medicine and surgery of dogs, cats, horses, cattle and sheep. He has an interest in exotic animals, soft tissue surgery and in avian medicine. He is an accredited expert in Clinical Sciences with the EAEVE which evaluates veterinary education at Universities all over Europe. Our clinic is an approved training centre for veterinary nurses.

Since the last few years we have expanded our services and are now collaborating with local specialist vets and are able to refer patients if they need more complex surgeries, need further diagnostic tests or just want a second opinion.

We appreciate that not everybody has insurance for their pets, but we try to provide the best care for an affordable price.
